Heileo folks, and "Beannachtaí na Féile Pádraig ort" (happy St. Patrick's Day) ! ! !

Since Chef Nelson took over the kitchen a couple of months ago he's really gotten into a more thematic approach to the specials, as you may have noticed.  It's been a boon to me as the publisher of whatever we're putting up as media!  But much more importantly it's food as food. And delicious food.  In celebration of our neighbors from the emerald isle and their patron saint , here's what he's got cooking for today, and for the rest of the weekend (while supplies last!):

Savory Irish stew with beef and made from scratch, complimented by homemade Irish-style soda bread.  It goes great with Flesse Bräu's "Extr'Ale" -a bottle-fermented pale ale that's as smooth as it is rich in hoppy goodness.

Irish Beef Stew

Hearty & Traditional stew of beef, potatoes, carrots and onions, made from scratch like in the good old days.  Served with a couple slices of our very own Hearty & traditional Irish-style soda bread.

Nalu's "Patrick Burger" ...mean & green!

  • Hearty & non-traditional Cheeseburger garnished with green avocado, green jalapeños, green onions, green lettuce, (green) parsley & (green) dill pickle. Is that enough greenery for you, or what?!
  • add Fries +€1.95 or Coleslaw +€2.50

Cream of Potato Soup

Small €4.00 / Large €5.75

Thick vegan-friendly soup made from Ireland's favorite tuberic vegatable, and probably their favorite vegetable no matter what, the potato, and from some other tasty things.

Side of Irish Soda Bread

Sliced homemade Irish Soda Bread, which is richer and heartier than normal bread, and has a special something to it that is hard to put your finger on, but is really satisfying.  It must come from the combination of baking soda (the leavening agent, instead of yeast) and buttermilk, which combine to form tiny bubbles of CO2 inside the bread.  Wild!

  • Served with butter and jam, or substitute it for country white bread when you order a breakfast combo platter.

Special Topping for Pancakes & French Toast

Toasted Hazelnuts with a Guinness stout beer chocolate sauce
