If you’ve eaten at Nalu Diner within the last few few years, chances are you’ve heard the gregarious laughter of our head chef echoing from the kitchen. He adores a good joke just as much as the next guy or gal. It’s no surprise, then, that over the last week, diners were treated to an extra helping of Nelson’s characteristic mirth thanks to one particularly newsworthy event: the resignation of former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer.
Spicer—also affectionately referred to as Spicy or the Spice—had a short, but memorable career as President Trump’s (it’s still painful to see those two words side by side) spokesman. Whether he was distorting facts about crowd sizes, avoiding reporters by hiding in bushes, or stealing mini-fridges from junior White House employees, the Spice inadvertently provided us with several moments of comedic relief that were always welcome, if not outright necessary. To commemorate the Spice’s departure—and to thank him in some perverse way for his ridiculousness—we present you with this week’s specials, the star of which is the Sean Spicer burger!
Okay, only one of these items is relevant to Sean Spicer. The others are simply meant to please your palates!
